The SFX4104 features dual carrier operation for both file delivery and live events, has built-in BISS decryption for ease of interfacing with Satellite News Gathering (SNG) sources, can decode both legacy MPEG2 and MPEG4 AVC (H.264) HD video and is enabled for future upgrade using Sensio technology for live 3D alternate content.

Hoyts Cinemas, one of Australia's leading entertainment corporations, owns and operates 45 cinemas, with over 400 screens and more than 75,000 seats throughout Australia and New Zealand. Hoyts continues to invest heavily in all areas of its business with the ongoing conversion from analogue to digital and the installation of satellite equipment being a key area of focus.

"I am pleased to welcome Hoyts and Global Vision to our growing roster of digital cinema clients around the world. This first digital cinema project in the Asia Pacific Region for IDC is a continuation of our expansion in this market. With our established base in the US and recently announced contracts for new networks in Europe, IDC's digital cinema distribution technology is quickly gaining recognition as the global market leader and is poised to become the de facto standard for the distribution of digital content to theatres," said Ron Clifton, IDC President and CEO.
