Doremi's Dimension-3D Format Converter Now Supports Frame Packing

Doremi Labs announced the implementation of Frame Packing 3D support on the Dimension-3D. Frame Packing is defined in HDMI 1.4 as the standard format for Blu-ray 3D playback and all new consumer 3D TVs now hitting the market will have Frame Packing support.

Frame Packing does not apply any scaling to the left and right eye images like Side/Side and Top/Bottom, so the 3D quality is comparable to Dual Stream HD-SDI.

The Dimension-3D is a compact, versatile format converter that converts any 3D format to another as well as changing of the frame rates. It is an ideal device for use in postproduction, live events, and theme parks.
