Arabsat Stages Middle East’s First 3D Broadcast

The 38th Qatar Crown Prince Cup Final will be transmitted in the 3D format this week over Arabsat’s BADR-6 satellite (26 degrees East). The stereoscopic transmission is being broadcast by the ElDawry WelKass Channel at 19.00 local time on Saturday evening (May 15).

The Crown Prince Cup is played for by the teams in the first and second divisions of the Qatar football league. It is the first time that a football match has been screened in 3D over the Middle East.
