Pro TV Receives Approval to Test 3D Transmission
TV broadcasting company Central European Media Enterprises' Pro TV has received approval from Romania's telecom authority Ancom to start testing 3D television transmissions, daily business paper ZF reports citing Ancom's head Catalin Marinescu.
The move comes after LG recently entered the local 3D TV market with products worth around EUR 2,000 per unit. Panasonic and Samsung are expected to launch similar products in Romania this week. Ancom said it will approve any request from local television stations to test 3D TV.
Pro TV owns the channels Pro TV, Acasa, Pro TV International, Pro Cinema, Sport.ro and MTV Romania.
