Poland Looks to 3D

The DTH platform Cyfra+ and alternative telco Dialog could be the first companies to introduce 3D TV services in Poland. Rzeczpospolita and Satkurier report that Dialog is already undertaking a 3D trial employing IP technology. Funded by the EU, it involves 150 people that are either its employees or clients.

Canal + Cyfrowy, the operator of Cyfra+, has meanwhile said that it will have a 3D project in place by the end of the year. However, it is believed the introduction of full 3D services is still probably a number of years away in Poland.
