Marquis Medway Enhances HD Support

Marquis is demonstrating Medway version 2.3's enhanced support for HD formats to provide provide broadcasters and content producers with more flexibility when migrating their workflows from SD to HD processes.

The new formats supported include DNxHD, MPEG-2 HD long GOP, MPEG-2 HD I frame, DVCPRO-100 HD and Sony XDCAM HD 50 422, and additional flexibility for bidirectional transcoding from DNxHD to either MPEG-2 long GOP or MPEG-2 I frame. Marquis says Medway V2.3 will feature an extended, highly sophisticated set of metadata handling capabilities that will enable operators to achieve more tightly integrated media transfers between a broader range of broadcasting, post production and back office administrative systems.
