Screenvision Prepared for Marathon

Cinema advertising company Screenvision's alternative content division will release the documentary UltraMarathon Man: 50 Marathons, 50 States, 50 Days to exhibitors with digial cinema installations, beginning July 31 for engagements at roughly 170 domestic theaters. The movie follows running legend Dean Karnazes and The North Face Endurance 50, in which he ran 50 marathons in 50 different states in 50 consecutive days. UltraMarathon Man is directed by JB Benna and produced by both JB and Jennifer Benna of Journeyfilm. It will be distributed through Screenvision's HD digital network.

"We are committed to offering our exhibitor partners compelling alternative content that provides them with additional revenue streams," said Darryl Shaffer, executive vp, exhibitor relations for Screenvision." UltraMarathon Man is the type of documentary we feel could have widespread appeal on a national basis and we look forward to working with our partners to promote it."

Screenvision's alternative programming division was launched in 2007 to enable exhibitors to attract additional audiences during off-peak movie timeframes.
