Autodesk Heats MXF with MOG Solutions
MOG Solutions and Autodesk are working together to allow MXF native support in certain Autodesk visual effects and editing/finishing systems.
As a result, Autodesk users will gain direct access to MXF files, rather than having to import media. Autodesk Inferno, Autodesk Flame and Autodesk Flint software for visual effects systems, as well as the Autodesk Smoke software for editing/finishing systems, will rely on MOG Solutions’ development tools, to integrate directly with a number of file-based camera systems, broadcast servers and automation systems that use MXF natively.
The 2009 versions of the Autodesk systems products introduce support for decoding the Panasonic DVCPro 25, 50 and 100 P2 MXF media. This media can be instantly referenced on local attached storage such as a fire wire drive, or stored on a NAS or SAN, without the need to import or recompress.
